๐ฌ Today is #SaferInternetDay, and this yearโs 2026 focus highlights exploitation awareness and protecting youth online. The El Dorado County District Attorneyโs Office is proud to support this global effort to make the internet safer and healthier for everyone in our community.
As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting children, a District Attorney Investigator from our office is assigned to the regional Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force, working alongside partner agencies to investigate online exploitation โ with the support of his K-9 partner, Perl who assists with this important work.
This week, we encourage families to take a few moments to talk about online safety, kindness, and healthy digital habits. Weโll be sharing awareness messages, practical tips, and trusted resources to help parents, caregivers, and youth navigate todayโs online world safely.
