π BACK-TO-SCHOOL SAFETY REMINDER πΈ
As students across El Dorado County head back to school, the El Dorado County District Attorneyβs Office reminds our community to take a few extra moments to help keep students safe.
π For Drivers:
β’ Slow down and obey posted speed limits in school zones.
β’ Stay ALERT for children walking, biking, and crossing streets.
β’ Use extra caution near schools, crosswalks, and bus stops.
β’ Never pass a school bus when its red lights are flashing.
π For Students & Families:
β’ Use designated crosswalks and look both ways before crossing.
β’ Keep phones and other distractions away while walking near traffic.
β’ Review safe routes to and from school with your children.
β’ Remind children to stay aware of their surroundings and never leave with someone they do not know or trust.
π A little extra patience and attention can make a big difference. Letβs work together to keep El Dorado County students safe throughout the school year.
