📚 BACK-TO-SCHOOL SAFETY REMINDER 🚸
As students across El Dorado County head back to school, the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office reminds our community to take a few extra moments to help keep students safe.
🚗 For Drivers:
• Slow down and obey posted speed limits in school zones.
• Stay ALERT for children walking, biking, and crossing streets.
• Use extra caution near schools, crosswalks, and bus stops.
• Never pass a school bus when its red lights are flashing.
🎒 For Students & Families:
• Use designated crosswalks and look both ways before crossing.
• Keep phones and other distractions away while walking near traffic.
• Review safe routes to and from school with your children.
• Remind children to stay aware of their surroundings and never leave with someone they do not know or trust.
💛 A little extra patience and attention can make a big difference. Let’s work together to keep El Dorado County students safe throughout the school year.
