On 2/7/24, El Dorado County DA Vern Pierson presented to a packed auditorium of members of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) Winter Conference in Orlando, Florida. The topic was Getting Subjects to Talk: the Science of Communication in Threat Assessment. DA Pierson and a contingent of Deputy District Attorneys and Investigators from the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office attended the conference to learn and share their knowledge in the world of threat assessments with other professionals in the public and private sector across the United States.
