On May 8, 2025, an El Dorado County jury found Lance Treanor Guilty of three counts of felony Domestic Violence, two counts of felony False Imprisonment, two counts of misdemeanor Domestic Violence and one count of misdemeanor Assault.

On the evening hours of January 24 into January 25, Treanor was a passenger in the car his fiancée was driving home from a concert. Treanor proceeded to call his fiancée derogatory names then punched her in the face two times which caused abrasions and swelling. The victim was able to get him out of the car and went home. Treanor ambushed her at the house later that night into the morning hours and proceeded to strangle her three times, which caused bruising and swelling to the neck. He then kept her in their house and kicked her in the head which caused swelling and bruising.

The jury found that this crime was aggravated due to the violence, great bodily harm, or high degree of cruelty, viciousness, or callousness and the victim was particularly vulnerable.

This case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Emily Norgaard and investigated by El Dorado County Sheriff Deputy Suter. The trial was heard in Department 1 by the Honorable Judge Jamie Pesce. Sentencing is scheduled for June 9, 2025 in Department 1.
